Raney E. GREBER, 58, well known Jefferson county resident, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital Saturday evening at 10:30 p.m. after suffering a stroke the past week. He had been ill for a number of years.
Funeral services were held today at the Weston Behner funeral home at 2 p.m. with Dr. C. R. Douglass in charge. Burial was in Evergeren cemetery. Members of the K. P. and Eagles lodges served as pallbearers.
Mr. GREBER was the son of the late Jacob and Jane GREBER. He was born June 24, 1889, in Jefferson county. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Eagles lodge (sic - Aerie/Club).
He is survived by a brother, G. Fred GREBER, of Fairfield. One niece, Emelie GREBER, Fairfield, and one aunt, Mrs. Anna RIDINGER, Murray, Iowa, also survive. One brother and a sister preceded Mr. GREBER in death.
