A. GLANZMAN, 93, DIED AT 2:10 A.M.

Funeral Services Will Be Held Saturday Morning At Nine O'clock

Andrew GLANZMAN passed away this afternoon at 2:10 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman BUCHER at the age of 93 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Rev. E. F. Gaule.

OBITUARY

ANDREW GLANZMAN

Andrew GLANZMAN was born January 30th, 1838 (sic - 1833) in Marback, Kt Duzern (sic - Luzern), Switzerland and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman BUCHER, three miles northeast of the city. He came to this country in 1866, coming direct to Jefferson county. Here he spent the entire time in this county with the exception of 9 years in Washington county, Iowa.

In 1868 he united in marriage to Kathren RICH, who preceded him in death in 1886. To this union was born one daughter, Mary Magdalene. He was engaged in farming in the eastern part of the county until 1904 when he moved to East Hempstead street, Fairfield, Iowa, where he has resided until about a year ago he moved to his daughter's home northeast of the city.

There are left to mourn his death besides the daughter, six grandchildren ,H. J. BUCHER, Mrs. F. BENDER (sic - BENDA), Agnes BUCHER, Catherine BUCHER, A. P. BUCHER and Paul BUCHER.

Services were held Saturday morning at 9 oclock at St. Mary's church and interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery.

The pall bearers were Frank Flinspach, Elmer Larson, Frank Witkoskie, John Shemanski, Philip Kasowski, Henry Braun..

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.265. The WPA Graves Registration Survey noted that he was born in 1838, however the year is 1833 on his Death Certificate, with daughter Mary BUCHER as the informant. His age is noted as 92 years, 11 months, 1 day. Wife Kathren (alt. Catherine) died Aug. 12, 1886, and was buried in Washington Co., IA. Her gravestone spells the last name as GLANZMANN, while Andrew does not have a gravestone.
