Illness Fatal To Charles GIBSON

Charles A. "Toddy" GIBSON, 86, retired factory worker, died at 1:55 a.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital. He had been in failing health since April 1.

GIBSON made his home at 114 Iowa Ave. He served as a foreman at the Louden Machinery Co. prior to his retirement.

Last rites will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral home. Dr. J. Henry Teele and Dr. E. A. Piper will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

GIBSON was born Nov. 7, 1870 in Fairfield, the son of Joseph and Caroline HEATON GIBSON. He attended Fairfield public schools and Parsons college and was married to Anna R. SCHUTZ Aug. 2, 1894.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Frank GIBSON, Des Moines; and Mrs. Cedric RAYMOND, Fairfield. Two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Walter E. BOYES, Parma, Ohio; and a brother, J. E. GIBSON, Davenport, also survive.

One son, one brother and three sisters are deceased.

GIBSON Relatives Attend Rites Here

Out-of-town relatives here to attend funeral services for Charles A. GIBSON Monday were as follows:

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. GIBSON, Davenport; Mrs. Walter BOYES and Arvid BOYES and his daughter, Lynn of Parma, O.; Mrs. Betty CANNELLA and two children of Coolidge, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Mell ZAPPIA and son and Mr. and Mrs. Frank GIBSON of Des Moines.
