Virginia 'Ginnie' WHALER GAUMER

Virginia "Ginnie" WHALER GAUMER, 79, of 1229 Glenview Circle, died at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2001, at the Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home, with Dr. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. GAUMER was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Charles E. and Elizabeth G. MORFORD WHALER. She married Stewart C. GAUMER June 19, 1943, in Atlanta, Ga.

She has lived in the Fairfield community for 45 years, with previous residences in Philadelphia and Atlanta, Ga. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Chapter MB, Fairfield Golf and Country Club, Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of Fairfield; one son, Stewart C. GAUMER Jr. of White Plains, N.Y.; one daughter, Larue G. WACKNOV of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren, David Stewart GAUMER, Corey Alexander WACKNOV, Stacy Nicole WACKNOV and Jason Lee WACKNOV; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Matthew James GAUMER.
