DONALD HAROLD REBLING
Brighton

Donald Harold REBLING, 95, of Brighton died at his home late Wednesday August 9, 2023. He was born near Fairfield in Walnut Township, December 4, 1927, to Harold Albert and Mildred Bernice SINN REBLING. He attended Pleasant Plain schools. Donald married Delores Aileen WILKINS on December 17, 1968, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He farmed all his life near Germanville and served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve, leaving service as a Sergeant First Class. Donald was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church at Germanville.

He is survived by his wife Delores, one daughter Yvette POUNDS of Brighton, two granddaughters: Carman EHRET of Washington and Angelic EHRET of Brighton, two great-grandsons: Adrian and Kayden two brothers: Paul REBLING (Donna) of Wayland, and Harold REBLING Jr. of Fairfield, two sisters: Anna BURGER and Norma MYERS, both of Fairfield, many nieces, and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Evelyn SMITH and her husband Ralph, infant brother Richard and infant sister Marie, brothers-in-law Howard BURGER and J. Roy MYERS, and sister-in-law Beverly REBLING.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday at Germanville Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Ryan Dexter officiating. Visitation will be held before the service from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials for Hope Lutheran Church or Everystep Hospice may be left at the church or mailed to the family at: 503 N Farmer Street, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
