Brighton

Pearl K. ARNOLD, 95, of Brighton, died early Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington (note: in Washington Co., IA). She was born to Roy J. and Kasylda Dorothy PECK LAMANSKY and raised south of Brighton. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1945, attended Ottumwa Heights College and graduated as an elementary school teacher. She married Roger "Pete" ARNOLD June 1, 1949, he died January 14, 2014. Pearl was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, the Brighton Librarian for several years and enjoyed playing the piano for the U.P. Home.

Pearl is survived by her children, Sally OGDEN (Terry) of Watkins, CO, Mary ARNOLD of Deer Trail, CO, Bill ARNOLD (Nancy) of Harrisburg, NE; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and 14 fur babies (the favorite is Boone).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete; sons, Bob and Tom; and siblings, Jim, Don, Susan, Maryann, Rosalie and Esther.

Memorial services will be held at the United Prestyberian Home in Washington at 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 18, 2023, with Chaplin (sic) Andrew Zuehlke officiating. Burial at a later date at Brighton Hillcrest Cemetery (note: in Washington Co., IA). Memorials to the family may be mailed to MK ARNOLD at P.O. Box 436, Deer Trail, CO 80105. Gould Funeral Home of Brigton is assisting the family.
