Leo Glenn BEAUCHAMP, 81, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.
The funeral is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington, with the Rev. Robert Wollenberg officiating.
Visitation began at 9 a.m. today at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. today.
A memorial has been established for the Iowa Fireman's Memorial in Coralville.

Mr. BEAUCHAMP was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Jefferson County, the son of Glenn and Verle GRAY BEAUCHAMP. He married Norma Jean RHODEBECK Dec. 10, 1944, in Selma, Calif.
Mr. BEAUCHAMP lived most of his life and attended schools in Jefferson and Washington counties. He was a member of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department from 1957 until 1997 where he was a driver for many years. Prior to that he owned and operated the Standard Station in Washington for nine years and the A & W restaurant for seven years.
Mr. BEAUCHAMP also worked at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington as a custodian for several years and was a school bus driver for the Washington Community Schools.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Washington. He had been a member of the Iowa Fireman's Association since 1977 and served on the Association Board of Directors for seven years where he was president in 1982 and 1983.
Mr. BEAUCHAMP worked as a legislative lobbyist for the Fireman's Association for more than 20 years. He served on the Washington County Fair Board and belonged to the Washington Jaycees for many years.
Survivors include his wife of Washington; two sons, Glenn BEAUCHAMP and wife Rita of Council Bluffs and Thomas BEAUCHAMP and wife Sandy of Washington; two daughters, Barbara RENKEN and husband Gene of Bella Vista, Ark., Judy MOORE of Washington; one sister, Doris JOHNSTON of Fairfield; one sister-in-law Faye BEAUCHAMP of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Christie BEAUCHAMP.
