Louisa A. FAULKNER was a native of Ohio, and came to Jefferson county with her parents when but a girl in her teens.
December 27, 1857, she was married here to N. FILLY, and had she lived until the 27th of his month, would have had the privilege of celebrating their golden wedding, or fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. The greater part of their married life has been spent here, with the exception of a few years in Indiana.
Mrs. FILLY had been an invalid for many years, needing constant care and attention. She was in her usual health and her death, totally unexpected by the family, came as a severe blow. She died at her home on West Hempstead last Tuesday night and funeral services were conducted from the home on Friday morning, in charge of Rev. Osborne assisted by Rev. Jones, and interment made in Evergreen cemetery.
A daughter, Lolla, and the husband with two brothers and three sisters, are left to mourn her loss.
