... Little Robert Bruce TEETER was born April 10, 1909, and died Nov. 12, 1909. Funeral was held Saturday at the home conducted by Rev. Pool. A large crowd of sympathizing neighbors and friends followed the remains to the Union Cemetery where the little form was laid to rest. The family has the sympathy of the neighbors. ...

Note: The death certificate for this child lists Robert TEETER and Maryana LYNN as his parents, however I believe this to be in error. The Robert TEETER also buried in Union Cemetery (1855 - Dec. 1918) was married twice, first to Margaret J. RIZOR (1857-1901) and second to Susan HOWARD (1868-1938). Maryana LYNN (1816-1890) was the mother of Robert, not of Robert Bruce; her husband was John TEETER (1807-1869). Previous genealogy researchers have noted dates with regard to the stone for "R. Bruce Teeter" in Union Cemetery of 1919-1919, however no dates appear on the stone, just the name. There is no obituary in the November-December, 1919, timeframe for the death of a TEETER child in the Fairfield papers, so the 1919 dates are likely in error.
