Thursday Rites For Roy GARCIA

Last rites for Roy GARCIA, 57, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral home in charge of the Rev. O. F. DeCoursey. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

GARCIA, who made his home at 500 N. 11th street, died Monday night at the Jefferson County hospital. He had been ill since suffering a stroke Nov. 7.

GARCIA had been employed at the Iowa Malleable Iron Co. since moving to Fairfield in 1912. He was born in Mexico in 1896, the son of Roy and Marie MINTES GARCIA. He was married to Lavelle SOUTHERN at Ottumwa in 1935.

He is survived by his wife, his father in Mexico, and one brother, Peter GARCIA, Fairfield.
