MRS. GANTZ. 84 DIES THURSDAY

Mrs. Lizzie Bell GANTZ, 84, 307 West Washington Street, a lifetime Jefferson county resident, passed away yesterday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been taken on Sunday. She was taken seriously ill on Saturday.

Lizzie Bell ABRAHAM was born in Jefferson county on July 24, 1862 and was married to John A. GANTZ on April 28, 1888. Six children were born to this union and three of them survive. Mrs. GANTZ moved to Fairfield in 1906.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ina BONNETT northwest of Fairfield and Mrs. Marie GRAUEL of Fairfield and one son, Glen, living on the home farm northwest of the city; and two grandchildren: Marjorie BONNETT and John K. GANTZ. Mrs. GANTZ was preceded in death by her husband, John, on August 17, 1939 (sic - Aug. 23, 1934), one son, Orville (note: on Aug. 17, 1939) and two children died in infancy.

Services for Mrs. GANTZ will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Dr. E. A. Piper. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

ADMINISTRATOR'S NOTICE

Public Notice Is Hereby Given:

That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, administrator of the estate of Lizzie B. GANTZ, Deceased.

All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their being allowed or proved, and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid costs.

Dated at Fairfield, iowa, this 28th day of August, A. D. 1945.
