ALICE ROSLYN MORRISON
Grand Island

Alice Roslyn MORRISON, age 92, of Grand Island, Florida, passed away in Cagayan de Oro City, Phillippines ,on August 1, 2022.

Alice is survived by her sister Lynda ALEXANDER (Robert), sons Robert A. and Brian D. MORRISON, granddaughters Rebecca C. PADILLA (Nahum) and Lisa A. MORRISON, great-grandson Charles Morrison PADILLA and many nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Gail C. and Vernon W. BATES, her sister Maxine BATES as well as her husband of 55 years, Charles A. (Bud) MORRISON.

Alice was born in Fairfield, Iowa, on August 25, 1929, to Gail C. and Vernon W. BATES. She graduated from Fairfield High School. Alice married Charles A. (Bud) MORRISON, in 1951, and together they had two children, Robert A., and Brian D. MORRISON.

She worked as a secretary for the Allis Chalmers Corporation in Wisconsin for 15 years until she and Bud retired to Sunlake Estates in Grand Island Florida in 1986. Alice was active in the Sunlake Estates community and a proud member of First Presbyterian Church of Eustis, FL.

Alice relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in July of 2021 to be with her son Brian and found great joy visiting with her great-grandson Charlie. In March of 2022, she relocated to Cagayan de Oro City, Phillippines to be with her son Robert.

Her ever-present cheerful smile and positive attitude will be missed by all who came in contact with her.

Memorial services will be held at the Sunlake Estates Clubhouse, 1045 Great Lakes Blvd, Grand Island, FL on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:30 am. Private interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

Memorial donations may be made in Alice's name to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
