He was never married, making his home for many years with his sister near Brighton. He moved to a small farm near Four Corners where he lived until he was no longer able to stay alone. He moved to the County home in 1939.

The body is at the Monger funeral home where services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Dr. E. A. Piper will be in charge of last rites and burial will be in Union cemetery.

Note: His Death Certificate also notes that he was buried in Union Cemetery, however when this cemetery was canvassed in the late 1960s no mention of his burial was made. Perhaps he did not have a gravestone.
