Rites Tuesday for SWAFFORD

Ethel E. SWAFFORD, 74, 513 E. Adams, died this morning at the Jefferson County Hospital.

Born April 14, 1912 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Carl D. and Lula BARKUS BONAR. She grew up in the Yarmouth community and lived in Fairfield the past 46 years.

She married Paul B. SWAFFORD May 21, 1938 in Burlington. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and active in Senior Citizens Center activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and her parents.

Survivors include one son, Jerry and Janet SWAFFORD of Center Point; three grandchildren, two great-granddaughters; and three brothers: Glen of Yarmouth; Earl of Mount Union; and Erwin of Fairfield.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. She will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens Center.
