HAROLD FULTON FUNERAL HERE ON WEDNESDAY
Young Man 22 Years Old Summoned in Webster City Suddenly

The body of Harold L. FULTON (sic), who died in the Webster City Hospital Saturday following an appendix operation, will be brought to the Hoskins Funeral home where final funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. The service will be in charge of the I. O. O. F. and the local Iowa National Guard unit, with burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Funeral services will be held in Webster City at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow and the body will arrive in Fairfield Tuesday evening.

FULTON who was 22-years old last June, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. FULTON, of Webster City, and former residents of Fairfield. He is survived by his parents, sister Mrs. Glen TOWERS of Des Moines, and a brother Wayne of Webster City. He was sergeant in the Iowa National Guard.

He also leaves the following grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Sam LEWIS of Fairfield, and Mr. and Mrs. P. L. FULTON, of Selma. There is also a large circle of friends and relatives in Jefferson county.

ROBERT HAROLD FULTON

Robert Harold FULTON, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. FULTON, was born June 27, 1912 (sic - 1911) in Fairfield, Ia. The FULTON family has lived in Webster City for the past six years, and Bob, as he was familiarly known, was graduated from the Webster City Lincoln High school in the class of 1930.

The past few months he had been employed at the Currie Engineering Co. offices, in Webster City. He was a member of the English Lutheran church, being confirmed at the Bethany Lutheran church in Des Moines, in 1925.

He was a member of Company E, 133rd Regiment, Iowa National Guard, and the Odd Fellows lodge and was a sergeant in Company E.

He leaves to mourn his death his parents one brother Wayne at home in Webster City, one sister Mrs. Margaret TOWERS of Des Moines. He also leaves two nieces, Shirley and Carol TOWERS of Des Moines, his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. S. E. LEWIS of Fairfield, and Mr. and Mrs. P. L. FULTON of Selma, and his great grandfather, Philip RINGSLEPACH of Fairfield as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins(.)

Bob was well liked among his many friends in Webster City, and was a general favorite among the members of Company E. Both his pastor, Rev. Piper, and Lieut M. J. House of Company E spoke of him as being a clean, straightfoward and honest young man.

FULTON died January 6, 1934, in the Webster City Hospital following a major operation and a week's illness. Death was caused by peritonitis.

Funeral services were held in Webster City, Jan. 9, 1934, at 10 a.m., in the McCauley-Chapman Funeral Home in charge of Rev. E. A. Piper. The body was then taken to Fairfield, where funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral Home, Jan. 10, 1934, with burial in Evergreen cemetery.
