DIES AT HOME IN PACKWOOD

Mrs. O. F. FRYER, 72, prominent resident of Packwood and former resident of Fairfield, passed away about 2 a.m. Sunday at her home in Packwood. She had been in poor health the past few years.

Last rites will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Fairfield in charge of the Reverends Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hight, of Packwood, and Dr. L. H. Scheerer, pastor of the Fairfield church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body is at the Hoskins funeral home.

Lulu E. FRYER was born April 15, 1875, in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late Peter H. and Mary WEITZEL ROTH.

Mr. and Mrs. FRYER lived in Fairfield from September,1907, to January, 1927. While in Fairfield, Mr. FRYER was president of the Iowa State Savings bank. They moved to Packwood from Cedar Rapids in 1937.

Mrs. FRYER was a member of the Packwood Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. at Packwood.

She is survived by her husband and two children: Maurice Laird FRYER, Des Moines, and Mrs. Doris FRYER HYND, St. Joseph, Michigan. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Dr. J. O. LAIRD, Malvern, Iowa; two grandchildren, Mrs. Jane REYNOLDS, Aurora, Illinois, and Larry FRYER, Iowa City. Her sister, Mrs. Cora LAIRD, preceded her in death.

... Mr. and Mrs. L. M. FRYER of Des Moines arrived here Sunday morning, called here because of the unexpected death of his mother, Mrs. O. F. FRYER, who passed away in her home here at two a.m. Sunday. Many Fairfield friends called in the FRYER home during the afternoon. ...

Services Are Held For Mrs. O. F. FRYER

A large number of Packwood people attended funeral services held Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church in Fairfield for Mrs. O. F. FRYER of Packwood.

The Reverend Mr. Scheerer of the Fairfield church and the Reverend Lawrence Hight of the Packwood Methodist church assisted in the service with the Reverend Mrs. Hight, co-pastor of the Packwood church giving the message. Pall bearers were Carl Conger, Willis Mitchell, Carl Edmund, Clair Klingaman, Cecil Garrels and Radford Small, all of Packwood. Organ music by Mrs. E. G. Linder of the Fairfield church was a part of the service.

Those attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. L. M. FRYER of Des Moines and their children, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. REYNOLDS of Aurora, Illinois, and Larry FRYER of Iowa State university; Mr. and Mrs. Robert HYND of St. Joseph, Michigan; Dr. J. O. LAIRD of Malvern; Mrs. A. K. Akerman of Marengo; Mrs. Frank Jaques, Mrs. Gertrude Collins, Mr. O., M. Garrett and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Gore, all of Des Moines.
