ILLNESS FATAL TO S. W. FRY, 89

S. Warren FRY, well-known retired farmer, died yesterday afternoon at a hospital in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co., IA). He was 89 years of age and had been seriously ill for the past several months.

A native of Jefferson county, FRY spent his entire life in Cedar township. He resided on a farm nine miles southeast of Fairfield and was an active farmer until his health failed.

FRY was born August 6, 1861, the son of David and Harriett FORDYCE FRY. He was married to Ella May STOUT December 22, 1885 in Jefferson county. He was a member of the Ebenezer Christian church southeast of Fairfield.

Survivors include his wife and two sons, Chester D. FRY and Guy W. FRY, both of Jefferson county. One daughter, Clara FRY, preceded him in death in 1946. Two sisters and four brothers are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Lacy Thompson, pastor of the Stockport Methodist church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

ADMINISTRATOR'S NOTICE

Public Notice Is Hereby Given:

That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, administrator of the estate of S. W. FRY, Deceased.

All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said Court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their being allowed or proved, and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid costs.

Dated at Fairfield, Iowa, this 12th day of January 1951
