W. FRESHWATER PASSES AWAY

William E. FRESHWATER, 77, passed away last evening at 9:20 p.m. He had been in failing health for seven years and seriously ill for the past two weeks.

He was born in Van Buren county June 28, 1866, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald FRESHWATER. He was married on February 16, 1886 to Miss Maggie CATON who preceded him in death on February 15, 1943. They were the parents of five children.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clarence COX of Glendale, Calif.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, George and James both of Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. Ella SCHLEIF (sic - SCHLIEF), Fairfield. He was preceded in death by four of his children, Mrs. Jennie SULLIVAN, Archie, Thomas and Harry FRESHWATER, and by one brother, John N. FRESHWATER.

Mr. FRESHWATER was employed for 37 years at the Turney Wagon Factory in Fairfield.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home. Arrangements for funeral services are incomplete at this time.

Rites Tomorrow For Wm. E. FRESHWATER

Funeral services for William E. FRESHWATER, who passed away Wednesday evening, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 from the Hoskins funeral home. S. P. Williamson, pastor of the First Christian church will officiate. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.

--Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert SHAW and children Jennie and Verlee of Mt. Pleasant were guests in the parental James FRESHWATER home, 800 West Broadway. Saturday, coming to attend the funeral services of William E. FRESHWATER.
