RESIDENT OF FAIRFIELD 60 YEARS, DIES
Mrs. William FRESHWATER passed away at hospital today

Maggie FRESHWATER, 78, native of England and long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital at 9 a.m. today. She had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill for the past few weeks.

Mrs. FRESHWATER was born in Lancaster, England, and had made her home in Fairfield for the past 60 years. She came to this country while a child.

She is survived by her husband, William FRESHWATER, 510 South Depot street; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence COX, Glendale, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. four children preceded her in death, as well as one sister, Mrs. G. Fred TURNER, who passed away in Dec. 28, 1938.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where funeral arrangements are pending.

Funeral Services For Mrs. FRESHWATER To Be Tomorrow

Funeral services for Mrs. William FRESHWATER will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Rev. Fr. H. M. Thoman. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. FRESHWATER passed away at the Jefferson county hospital yesterday morning following a long illness.

--Roy FRESHWATER has returned to his home in Cedar Rapids after being here to attend the last rites for Mrs. William FRESHWATER held Wednesday morning in St. Mary's church. Mrs. Robert BAKER, Denver, Colorado arrived Wednesday morning on the Zephyr to attend the funeral services of her grandmother. The Zephyr was stopped in this city in order that Mrs. BAKER might reach here in time for the services.
