REMARKABLE DEATH RECORD
Fairfield had But One Death in The Past Thirty Days.

What is considered to be one of the most remarkable records ever made in Fairfield and the vicinity has been established here in the past month. Henry FREEMAN died at the county home on September 11th. William Fulton, one of the pioneer residents having died on August 22d. While it is true that one Jefferson county man, Samuel Hurd, died three weeks ago at Mt. Pleasant and was brought here for interment that constitutes all the deaths that have occurred in this vicinity for the past four weeks.

According to the older residents at Fairfield this record has been equalled only once or twice in the past fifteen years and is considered something remarkable. Not only is the death list low but at this time there is no more than two or three cases of serious illness in Fairfield.

While Fairfield never has been boomed as a health resort from the above record it would seem that the residents are all enjoying excellent health. Everybody in the city is exceedingly glad to see this record established and are hoping that it may continue for some time.
