Mrs. FRAKES, 81, Taken In Death

Mrs. William FRAKES, resident of Fairfield for over 70 years, died last night at the home of her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph FRAKES, where she made her home.

She had been in failing health for the past two years and seriously ill the last three months.

The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.

Mrs. William FRAKES, 81, was born July 8, 1876, in Sweden. She came to this country at the age of 11 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl JOHNSON. She was united in marriage on Nov. 27, 1900, to William FRAKES, at Washington. He passed away Sept. 12, 1949.

Mrs. FRAKES had made her home in this community since coming to this country and was a member of the 4-Square (sic - Foursquare) church.

She is survived by her son, Joseph; a brother, Fred CARLSON of New Virginia, Ia.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, three brothers and a sister.

A number of out-of-town relatives were here Thursday to attend funeral services for Mrs. William FRAKES.

They were Frank PRATT and daughters, Nancy and Frances, Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Charles PRATT, Iowa City; Mr. and Mrs. Ted PRATT, Riverside; Mr. and Mrs. Jonas ROUSH, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Anna ROUSH and Dale KUNCE, Davenport; Mrs. Barney WENCKUS, Moline, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin KUNCE, Rock Island, Ill., and Mrs. Lester EVANS and Arlene of Decatur, Ia.
