Fairfield

Carol Ann SNYDER of Fairfield passed away April 4, 2022. There will be a celebration of life at 2 p.m April 16, at the Dew Drop Inn, Libertyville, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Noah's Ark and mailed to Laura KURTZ, 1529 Packwood Rd., Packwood, IA 52580.

Carol was born Aug. 18, 1955, to Robert Dean and Karen Louise (CANADAY) SNYDER in Fairfield. She graduated from Van Buren Community School in 1973.

She worked many years at Harper Brush Works in Fairfield, owned and operated the T & C Tavern in Fairfield and most recently worked at the Bowling Alley (Fairfield) and the Dew Drop Inn (Libertyville).

Carol was a Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed playing pool and would take care of any stray cat. Carol never knew a stranger and was known for her laughter and storytelling. She enjoyed socializing with friends new and old. Carol is leaving behind many special friends and a legacy of laughter.

Caorl will be missed by her mother, Karen STREED of Keosauqua; sisters Diana (Lloyd) SPATES of Douds and Laura (Pat) KURTZ of Packwood; nieces, Lacey (Nick) VANDEGRIFF of Fairfield and Leslie SHALLA of Riverside; and nephew, Colton (Kelli) KURTZ of Packwood.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dean SNYDER; stepfather, Larry STREED; and grandparents, Bob and Lucile SNYDER and Elmer and Edna CANADAY.
