Remains of the Late Clarence FLETCHER Buried Here.

The remains of the late Clarence FLETCHER was brought to this city for burial last Saturday. The funeral cortege went at once to the cemetery and the interment was made, services being conducted by Mrs. Robert Louden, a reader of the Christian Science church.

Mrs. FLETCHER was a former Fairfield girl, having been the daughter of the late Samuel HASTINGS, one of the pioneer business men of our little city. What is now known as the McCoid home was at one time the HASTINGS home. About twenty-three years ago Carrie HASTINGS married Clarence FLETCHER and since that time has not been a resident here. Mr. FLETCHER was a business man in Kansas City, at the time of his death and there they had their home.

Among our readers there will be some who will remember Carrie HASTINGS and be saddened to learn of her great loss.

Note: Buried in Lot Old.P.316. Wife Carrie died in 1955 and was buried with him. Although Clarence's obituaries point to death occurring on Sunday (15th) or Monday (16th), his gravestone notes that he died on September 14th. His birth year is somewhat in question as well, as his gravestone notes an April 9, 1862, birth but three census returns in which he appears all indicate an 1863 birth.
