Mrs. FITZGERALD Dies Suddenly

Mrs. Robert P. FITZGERALD, the former Eleanore STAVES of Fairfield, died suddenly Friday at State College, Pa., where she and her family made their home.

Funeral services and burial will be held at State College on Monday, Oct. 28.

Mrs. FITZGERALD, 35, was a native of Fairfield and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom STAVES. She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Robert P. FITZGERALD and an eight-year old son; also her mother; two brothers, Harold and Gregory who both reside in California. and a sister, Mrs. Barbara GERING who lives in Virginia.

Grave Rites For Mrs. FITZGERALD

Graveside services will be held Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery for Mrs. Robert P. FITZGERALD, former Fairfield resident who died suddenly Friday at State College, Pa., where she and her family made their home.

Mrs. FITZGERALD, 35, was the daughter of Mrs. Tom STAVES, 311 W. Broadway.

The casket is scheduled to arrive in Fairfield Tuesday afternoon at the Raymond Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. The casket will remain closed.

Mrs. FITZGERALD was born and reared in Fairfield. She was the daughter of Tom and Norene SWITZER STAVES. She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband and one son, 8 years old; two brothers, Harold and Gregory, both of California; and a sister, Mrs. Barbara GEHRING who lives in Virginia.

Out-Of-Towners At Last Rites

Out of town relatives and friends who came Wednesday to attend graveside rites for Mrs. Robert P. FITZGERALD, the former Eleanore STAVES, included the following:

Jacqueline Edwards of Davenport, Mrs. E. B. Kettering of Mediapolis, Mr. and Mrs. August Stukenberg of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hird, and Mrs. Clair Freund and Louise, all of Ottumwa; Mrs. John Probasco, Mrs. Max Probasco, Penney and Mike of Chariton; Mr. and Mrs. Frank SWITZER and David SWITZER of Burlington; Keith McFarland of West Branch, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lloyd-Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Andrews, William Murray all of Iowa City; and Mr. and Mrs. John Edwards of Rock Island, Ill.

Dr. FITZGERALD and Christopher left Friday by plane from Burlington to return to their home in State College, Pa. after a stay with Mrs. Thomas STAVES, 311 W. Broadway.
