Mary FISHER, retired school teacher, fell in her apartment at the Turner hotel Sunday and fractured her left leg.
She managed to reach the phone and call for help, but could not get to the door to unlock it. Someone had to climb through a window to gain entrance.
She was taken to the Jefferson county hospital where she will be a patient for some time.

Last rites will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. for Mary Hester FISHER, retired school teacher who died suddenly Friday afternoon at the Jefferson county hospital.
the services will be held at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Miss FISHER fell in her apartment at the Turner hotel on Nov. 5 and suffered a broken ankle. She was taken to the Jefferson County hospital where her condition was good until she was fatally stricken at 2:45 p.m. yesterday.
Mary Hester FISHER, 73, was born Aug. 14, 1888, in Jefferson couty, the daughter of Peter H. and Flora May PHILLIPS FISHER. She was reared and educated in Fairfield and was a graduate of Parsons college.
She taught in the Fairfield schools for a number of years before going to Akron, Ohio, where she taught until her retirement. She devoted most of her life to the teaching profession. She was a member of the Methodist church, Chapter C, PEO and the Fairfield Country club.
Miss FISHER is survived by two sisters, Mrs. O. C. THOMPSON, Falls Church, Va., and Mrs. Leo THOMA, Fairfield; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
