By Deane Baldwin, Birmingham... Mrs. FISHER who had been quite low for several months passed away last Wednesday evening. She is survived by one son Harold, of Texas, and one daughter Mrs. Will SPEES of Birmingham. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Sunday at 11 o'clock.

Flora May HANAWALT was born in Bourneville, Ohio, May 11, 1854 and passed away at her home in Birmingham, Dec. 14, 1921, age 67 years, 7 months and 3 days. She was a daughter of John and Mary HANAWALT. She was married September 13, 1882, to James M. FISHER. Mr. FISHER died in 1919 leaving her alone to finish the journey through life.
Mrs. FISHER was the mother of five children, three of them died in their early childhood. One son Harold of Waco, Texas and one daughter Mrs. Lulu SPIES (sic) of Birmingham survive her.
She also leaves one brother, James of Kington, Ohio, and two step-sons O. E. FISHER of Oklahoma and W. E. FISHER of Illinois, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday morning in the Presbyterian church. Burial in the Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield, Iowa.

Flora May HANAWALT was born in Bourneville, Ross county, Ohio, May 11, 1854 and passed away at her home in Birmingham, Iowa, last Wednesday evening, Dec. 15 (sic - 14), 1921, at the age of 67 years. Most of her life she lived in Ross county, Ohio. She was married Sept. 3, 1882, to James M. FISHER and moved to Champaign county, Ill. In 1901 they came to Iowa to live, locating first in Jefferson county, Iowa, and about nine years ago they moved to Birmingham where on June 25th, 1919, Mr. FISHER died. In her early childhood she joined the Methodist Episcopal church to which she remained ever faithful. She was the mother of five children of which three preceded her in death. One son Harold of Waco, Texas, and one daughter Mrs. Lula SPEES of Birmingham survive her.
The funeral service was held last Sunday morning at 11 o'clock in the Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. W. E. Buell of the M. E. church assisted by Rev. J. H. Hartsook. The body was laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
