MRS. JAMES FARMER DIED LAST NIGHT FUNERAL TOMORROW

After an illness of long duration, Mrs. James FARMER pssed (sic) away last evening at seven o'clock, at the home six miles west of Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, at the Methodist church in this city. The pastor, C. L. Tennant will have charge. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. FARMER was aged sixty-four years, eight months and two days. She is survived by her husband, four daughters and five sons. The family have resided west of the city for the past six years.

LIFE OF MRS. ELIZABETH R. FARMER

Elizabeth Ann RODGERS, daughter of Samuel and Mary RODGERS, was born Aug. 17, 1855, near Jacksonville, Ill., and departed this life May 19th, 1920, near Fairfield, Iowa, aged 64 years, 8 months and two days. She came with her parents to Jefferson county, Ia., at the age of 10 years, where she has since resided. In early life she was converted and united with the Pleasant Grove M. E. church, north of the city.

She was united in marriage to James FARMER, Nov. 1st, 1882. To this union were born nine children, Miss Ida FARMER, Sheridan, Wyo.; Mrs. Ola JOHNSON, Fairview, Ill.; Miss Ina, Grinnell, Ia.; Samuel, Hardin and George of this county; Elizabeth, Louis and Homer at home, who with her husband and three grandchildren are left to mourn a kind and devoted wife and mother. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary E. WRAY of Hanlontown, Iowa, and two brothers, Geo. W. RODGERS of Hastings, Oklahoma, and John T. RODGERS of Fairfield, Iowa, besides nephews and nieces and a host of friends.

Her children were all with her in the last weeks of her life, and tenderly ministered to all her needs. Altho suffering intensely, she bore it so patiently, without one murmur of complaint.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the First M. E. church in this city. The services were conducted by Rev. C. L. Tennant and Rev R. H. Polly. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
