FARBER--Miss Jane FARBER died this morning (sic - Feb. 5th) at 7:00 o'clock at her rooms at the Geo. Stever residence on West Burlington street, age 70 years.
Miss Jane FARBER was born in Peru, Clinton county, Penn., October 23, 1842. She came to Fairfield twenty years ago and has since made it her home. During her residence here she has lived such a sweet, gentle and christian life that she has drawn around her a large circle of staunch friends who will sadly miss her from their midst.
Miss FARBER was a faithful and devoted member of the Methodist church of this city and was always found in her place at all the services when health would permit.
She leaves two brothers, whose homes are in the east, Rev. J. L. FARBER and Wellington FARBER; also three sisters, Mrs. Lydia BADGER, of Providence, R. I.; Mrs. Nancy PUTMAN, of New York, and Mrs. Mary KELLOGG, of this city.
The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the latter sister, with whom Miss FARBER made her home, as they were close companions and the deceased will be greatly missed by the aged sister who survives.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow from the Methodist church at ten o'clock conducted by her pastor, Rev. Thomas Osborn. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
