TERESA RAE PALM

Teresa Rae PALM, 73, of Fairfield, passed away March 2, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation for family and friends will be noon to 2 p.m. March 5, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow starting at 2 p.m. with Father Nick Adam officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery.

In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Noah's Ark and mailed to Robert PALM, 1735 Hemlock Avenue, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Teresa was born July 1, 1948, in Ottumwa, to Ray E. and Mary "Ester" (POOL) LEYDENS. She married Robert Paul PALM on May 3, 1969. This last year they celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Teresa graduated from Van Buren High School in 1966. She worked 13 years at Rockwell/Meritor as a machinist, Fairfield Glove Factory/Universal and Art Select. While working at Rockwell, she was a member of the Rockwell Union. Teresa was actively involved in the White School House No. 5 Restoration. Teresa enjoyed being outside riding the 4-wheeler and working in her flower garden. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. Teresa was an avid dog and cat lover. She also enjoyed reading. Family was most important to her and she looked forward to attending all of their events. Teresa was a great baker and was known for her snickerdoodles and Texas sheet cake.

Teresa will be missed by her husband, Robert of Fairfield; children, Aaron Dean PALM of Fairfield and Lori Denise PALM of Des Moines; and her three sisters, Janice WRIGHT of Gulf Shores, AL, Connie WINEINGER of Fairfield and Deanne (Danny) THORNBURG of Keosauqua.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Ester LEYDENS; her cousin/best friend, Juanita HOOTMAN; and a number of other close relatives and friends.
