CAROLYN JEAN HICKENBOTTOM
Fairfield

Carolyn Jean HICKENBOTTOM, age 72, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

No services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Union Cemetery. Memorials can be made to The Lords Cupboard or Libertyville Community Center. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Larry HICKENBOTTOM at 1175 245th St. Batavia, IA 52533.

Carolyn was born July 29, 1949, to Perry J. and LeNora Rose (McCORMICK) HICKENBOTTOM Jr. Carolyn was educated at home by her mother for most of kindergarten, then attended County Line No. 3 country school for 2 years. When schools were consolidated, she went to Cardinal Community School and graduated with the class of 1967. Carolyn began her secretarial career in high school by working for an attorney on Saturdays. She became a Certified Professional Secretary in 1977. Carolyn worked in the Offices for Collins radio Company, John Deere, Iowa-Illinois Ga (sic - Gas) & Electric Company and State Group. She had to retire early due to Crohn's disease. Most important to Carolyn was spending time with family and friends.

Carolyn is survived by brothers, Lloyd (Peg) HICKENBOTTOM and Larry HICKENBOTTOM, both of Batavia, Iowa; niece, Rachel (Troy) FRIDERS; three nephews, Ryan (Rachel) HICKENBOTTOM, David (Ashley) HICKENBOTTOM and Josh HICKENBOTTOM: and their children, Caeden, Dylan and Mason FRIEDERS, and Madison, Maclain, Maelin, Mavryn, Zane, Chase and Lucas HICKENBOTTOM.

Carolyn was preceded by her parents, sister in-law Larry's wife, Peg.
