Camilla EVANS dies suddenly

Camilla Kate EVANS, 71, resident of Fairfield for 49 years, died suddenly about 9 a.m. today at her home, 905 S. Second. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Presbyteria Church with the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation wil be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Presbyerian Church.

Mrs. Lyman T. EVANS had been active in social, church and business activities during her nearly fifty years as a resident of Fairfield. She had been associated with the L. T. Evans Insurance Agency since it was established when the couple moved to Fairfield in August, 1934.

She had served as past president of Chapter C, PEO; she was a charter member of the Three H Club, and a member of Alpha Circle of the church and was a member of Eastern Star.

Camilla Kate EVANS was born Jan. 9, 1912, in Grinnell, the daughter of Edwin and Sarah DARE. She was reared an educated in Grinnell and graduated from the Des Moines Business College.

Her marriage to Lyman T. EVANS took place Nov. 2, 1933, in Grinnell. They moved to Fairfield in 1934.

In addition to her husband Mrs. EVANS is survived by a daughter Susan K. PHIPPS; a son, James L. EVANS, and two grandchildren all of Fairfield.

She is also survived by a brother, Harlan DARE, and a sister, Mildred HENDRICKSON, both of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF CAMILLA K. EVANS, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 25TH DAY OF MARCH, 1983, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF CAMILLA K. EVANS, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 8TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1978, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT LYMAN T. EVANS WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
