Kenneth EMMACK, 61, long-time resident of Jefferson County, died Monday at 7:15 p.m. at the Ottumwa Hospital (note: in Wapello Co., IA). He had been in failing health the past three months and seriously ill the past five weeks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
In addition to operating his farm northwest of Fairfield for many years, he had also been employed at the American Chain and Cable Company since 1956.
Kenneth EMMACK was born Aug. 30, 1907, at Columbus Junction, the son of Edward L. and Hadessa May CRULL EMMACK.
The family moved to a farm north of Fairfield when he was seven years old. He attended local schools and graduated from the Fairfield High School with the Class of 1925. He also attended Parsons College two years.
His marriage to Lucile HOLLANDER took place May 14, 1933, in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. He had farmed north of Fairfield since 1933, moving to the home place in 1951. EMMACK was a member of the Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jack RITZ, Douds; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ed EMMACK, Fairfield; one brother, Leo of Mount Pleasant; plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Kenneth EMMACK, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Kenneth EMMACK, Deceased:
You are hereby notified that on the 4th day of February, 1969, the last will and testament of Kenneth EMMACK deceased bearing date of the 19th day of June, 1945, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Lucile Irene EMMACK was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.
Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
