ELMORE Services Will Be Sunday

Last rites will be Sunday afternoon for Hugh A. ELMORE, well known Fairfield resident who passed away yesterday at the state hospital in Mt. Pleasant (note: in Henry Co,. IA) where he had been a patient for the past two years.

The services will be held at the Weston Behner funeral home at 2 p.m., with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery where military rites will be conducted at the grave.

ELMORE served in the U. S. armed forces during World War I and was overseas. We (sic - he) was a former member of the Fairfield V.F.W. post.

Hugh A. ELMORE, 58, was born in Jefferson county north of Fairfield on Jan. 20, 1895, the son of the late Andrew J. and Martha TUCKER ELMORE. He spent his entire life in this community and was a mechanic by trade until his health forced him to retire.

He is survived by two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Rilla LUCAS, Williams Port, Ind.; Mrs. Clarence CUMMINGS, Fairfield; Wesley ELMORE, Fairfield; Edgar ELMORE, Adams Center, New York, and Glen ELMORE, Fairfield.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Administratrix of the estate of Hugh ELMORE deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment; and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allwance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
