Well Known Pleasant Plain Woman Passed Away YesterdayMrs. Cora B. ELLYSON, well known Pleasant Plain resident passed away yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock after being in failing health since 1925 at which time she suffered a stroke.
The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Hoskins funeral home. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. ELLYSON was born February 23, 1857 near Lebanon Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret REAM SMITH. When but a girl the family lived on a farm South of Fairfield. October 26, 1881 she was united in marriage to John Talbot ELLYSON of Pleasant Plain, Rev. M. E. Dwight of the Congregational church performing the ceremony(.) Mr. ELYSON (sic) preceded her in death October 27, 1905. Since her marriage in 1881 she has made her home in the Pleasant Plain neighborhood. Her only child, a son, died in infancy.
She is survived by one brother Samuel Guy SMITH, of Caldwell Idaho and a number of neices (sic) and nephews. She was one of a family of eleven children.
