Dr. Lancelot 'Lance' Doc W. ELLER

Dr. Lancelot "Lance" Doc W. ELLER, 87, of Richland Center, Wis., formerly of Kanawha, died Monday, Aug. 7, 1995, at Riverdale Manor Nursing Home in Muscoda, Wis.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thusday at Behner Funeral Home with Bryon Wixon, pastor, officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

ELLER was born May 4, 1908, in Anita, the son of Frank and Bessie Alender (sic - Allender) McCOY ELLER. He married Elizabeth MOORHEAD on Aug. 15, 1941, in Fairfield. She died in May 1980. In 1984, he married Mae Ruth THOMPSON. He graduated from Northwestern University and from the Chicago Medical School, interning at Cook County General Hospital. He was an Army major during World War II. He practiced medicine in Kanawha for 50 years, and was honored by the hospital in Belmond for 50 years of service. He moved to Richland Center in 1984.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Tom of Denison; a daughter, Nancy SMITH of Dunkin Heights; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen KANN of Fairfield.

Correction

Dr. Lancelot "Lance" Doc W. ELLER is the son of Lloyd Roscoe and Bessie Allender McCOY ELLER. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1926. This information was incorrect in the obituary printed in Tuesday's Ledger.
