Vera EKLUND rite set Monday

LIBERTYVILLE -- Vera Pauline EKLUND, 82, Libertyville, died at 3:35 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 1988, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville with the Rev. Shirley Meendering officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call at their convenience starting Saturday noon at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to Faith United Methodist Church and the Fairfield Public Library.

Mrs. EKLUND was born May 5, 1906, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Grace REED LEATHERS. She married Alvin F. EKLUND Aug. 3, 1927, in Fairfield. He died Dec. 31, 1979. A teacher, cook, and homemaker, she was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Mary ROLAND, Connie BARTON, both of Fairfield, Ruth HOOVER of Richland, Shirley JOHNSON of Montgomery, Ill., Linda CLEMMONS of LIbertyville; two sons, Richard of Libertyville, Larry of Batavia; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and a brother, Glenn LEATHERS of Fairfield. A daughter, Florence, preceded her in death.
