Died at Omaha.

George Godfrey EICHHORN, a former resident and business man of this city, died at Omaha, Neb., Monday from bronchitis. The remains were brought here for interment, and the funeral will take place from the residence of Thomas R. Howlett on East Burlington street this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. EICHHORN was born in Rawenstein, Germany, March 8th, 1825, and came to the United States with his parents when a lad of twelve years. His home was in Lee county until 1865, when he removed to this city and remained here until 1889. Mr. EICHHORN was married to Maria P. WELCH in 1847, and his wife died in this city in 1887. Four children were born of this marriage, three of whom are now living--Mrs. Geo. C. EVANS, Mrs. F. T. CLARK and Miss Nella EICHHORN. During his residence here Mr. EICHHORN gained a wide acquaintance and numbered many friends who will sorrow at his death and sympathize with his family in its affliction. He was a pleasant and companionable man and of the strictest sense of honor and inegrity.
