W. EDWARDS Dies At 59

Wesley M. EDWARDS Sr., 59, Fairfield businessman, died at 4:40 a.m. today at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient for two days (note: in Johnson Co., IA). He has been seriously for several months.

EDWARDS resided at 504 W. Washington. For more than 25 years he served as local supervisor for the Home Town Dairies.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Masonic services will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends there Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Military rites and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

EDWARDS was born August 23, 1916 at Revere, Mo., the son of Roy and Lorena SMITH EDWARDS. He was married to Irene DRUEKE March 3, 1946. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 30 years.

EDWARDS served with the 34th Division during World War II. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Keokuk. He was also a life member of the American Legion and a member of the VFW, Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie/Club), Clinton Lodge No. 15 AF&AM and Kaaba Shrine Temple.

Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Sandra WORLEY, and one son, Wesley Jr., both of Fairfield; one grandson, one sister, Mrs. Robert WILSON, and one brother, Delbert, both of Keokuk. One brother preceded him in death.

CLUB TO CLOSE

The American Letion clubrooms will be closed at 12 noon Tuesday in respect to the memory of Wesley EDWARDS Sr.

The club rooms will open after the EDWARDS services and interment.
