Illness Fatal To Mrs. EDWARDS, 87

Mrs. Elizabeth JONES EDWARDS, 87, died at 2:30 a.m. today at the Curtis Nursing home where she had been a patient since December.

Mrs. EDWARDS resided at 709 W. Kirkwood St. She had been seriously ill since October. Last rites will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral home in charge of Dr. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. EDWARDS spent her entire life in Fairfield. She was born March 14, 1869 (sic - 1870), the daughter of W. H. and Rachel JONES JONES. She was married to Frank J. EDWARDS May 3, 1892. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1952.

Surviving are three children: John EDWARDS, Rock Island, Ill.; C. M. EDWARDS, Albany, N.Y.; and Mrs. Lauretta McFARLAND, Fairfield. Eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen PRISK, Bayard, Neb. and Mrs. Mayme HART, Los Angeles, Calif. also survive. One brother is deceased.
