Page 3, Column 4FUNERAL OF J. A. ECKWALL HELD TODAY
The funeral services for the late J. A. ECKWALL were held this morning from his late residence, a mile and a half east of Fairfield, at 11 o'clock this morning. Interment was at Evergreen cemetery.
John A. ECKWALL died Saturday evening at six o'clock at the Jefferson County Hospital, where he had undergone an operation for abscess of the liver. After the operation he seemed to be on the road to recovery until last Friday when he suffered a severe coughing spell and from that time on grew steadily worse.
Mr. ECKWALL is survived by his wife and a little three-year-old daughter. He was a good man, honest in all his dealings with his fellowmen and he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
