PERCY DROZ CALLED IN DEATH THIS MORNING.

Percy DROZ passed away this morning about nine o'clock at his home, 504 North B street, after a ten days illness with pneumonia.

Mr. DROZ was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. DROZ, and was born December 30th, 1877, in Cedar township and has made his home in this county all his life. On Feb. 15, 1899, he was united in marriage to Miss Eva COURTNEY. To this union were born three children: Trell, Helen and Hazel, Trell dying in infancy. Besides his wife and daughters he is survived by his aged mother, who lives in Cedar township, two brothers and five sisters. They are, Will DROZ, of this city; Ben DROZ, of Davenport; Mrs. James BOLEY, Mrs. John SMITH, Mrs. George EVANS, of this city and Mrs. R. P. McCULLEY (sic - McCLELLAND), and Mrs. Ellen MARSHALL, who resides southeast of Fairfield.

No arrangements have been made for the funeral.

PERCY DROZ FUNERAL TOMORROW AFTERNOON

The funeral of Percy DROZ, who passed away yesterday morning, will be held tomorow afternoon at 2:30 at the New Chicago Mission. The srvices (sic) will be in charge of Rev. L. E. Kuhns. All members of the Moose lodge who can so arrange, are urged to attend.

DROZ.

Terminating an illness with pneumonia of but a few days, Percy DROZ died at his home on North B. street Tuesday at the age of forty-one years.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. DROZ, was born in this county and had lived here all his life. He was widely known and much esteemed.

Mr. DROZ is survived by his widow and two daughters, both of whom live at home; one child died in infancy. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary F. DROZ, of Cedar township, by the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. J. F. BOLEY, Mrs. George EVANS, Mrs. J. M. SMITH, William DROZ; all of whom reside in Fairfield; Mrs. R. A. P. McCLELLAND, and Mrs. Ellen MARSHALL, of Cedar township; B. F. DROZ, of Davenport.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the home, conducted by Rev. L. E. Kuhns.

The undersigned, administratrix of the estate of Percy C. DROZ, will sell at public sale at his late residence, in the northeast part of Fairfield, on

SATURDAY, MAY 4TH,
at 3:00 p. m.

the following described property, to-wit: One large Dain hay press, one small hay press, four horses, one Jersey cow, one wood saw, gasoline engine and wagon, two bobsleds, one oscilator bobsled nearly new, two stirring plows, one road plow, cultivator, surrey, buggy, two 5-passenger automobiles, on st (sic) of single harness and one set of double buggy harness, one set farm harness, saddle, bale hay stacking outfit,, six horse gasoline engine, one dump scraper, three sets dump boards, set of blacksmith tools, several hundred feet of lumber and other articles too numerous to mention.

Terms of Sale

All sums of $10.00 or less to any one purchaser, cash in hand; all sums over $10 to any one purchaser, a credit of six months will be given by purchaser giving bankable note, bearing 7 percent interest from date with approved security. No property to be removed until settled for.
