Marilyn Joyce "MYERS" QUICK, 83, of Fairfield, formerly of Lockridge, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Marilyn was born April 20, 1938, to Roy M. and Cleo (BRIGGS) MYERS. She married Donald QUICK on June 15, 1956, at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before he passed away September 1, 2016.

Prior to moving to Fairfield, Marilyn and her husband Don farmed in the Lockridge area for many years. She worked for the Department of Agriculture (ASCS) in Fairfield for 15 years and retired in 2000. Marilyn was a member of First Augustana Church in Lockridge, Lutheran Church Woman and Woman's Farm Bureau. Marilyn was active in helping with the Lockridge 4-H Club. She loved quilting and sewing. Marilyn made many quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marilyn will be missed by her children and their families, Jeffrey (Brenda) QUICK of Fairfield, Kevin QUICK of Ottumwa, Rhonda BLACK of Fairfield and Kelly (Joe) FOREMAN of Fairfield; 12 grandchildren, Nicole (Jered) HOOK, Eric (Amanda) FOREMAN, Billie ELLIOTT, Mitchel (Craig) ASH, Adam FOREMAN, Jason BLACK, Kyle FOREMAN, Patrick QUICK, April (Dereck) HORMANN, Alissa (Stephen) FISHER, Becky OLIVER and Nathan (Michelle) OLIVER; 16 great-grandchildren, Gage and Kane HOOK, Zaden, Xzavier and Oakley ELLIOTT, Cahston HOOVER, Theo, Desmond and Ariella FOREMAN, Toby and Nolan OLIVER, Nick HORMANN, Dylan HORMANN, Shelby TOLLEY and Bethany and Austin PORTER; brother, Virgil MYERS of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; two brothers, Jack MYERS and Robert at infancy; and sister, Delores (Pooch) NUNN.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Sweden Lutheran Chapel Cemetery, Lockridge, IA.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and can be mailed to Kelly FOREMAN, 507 South 33rd Street, Fairfield, IA 52556.
