OBITUARY

ALEXANDER DROZ

Alexander DROZ was the youngest son of the late John Batty and Julia PALM DROZ, both being natives of France. He was born in Cedar township, June 18, 1862 and passed away at his brother's home, Joe S. DROZ Nov. 17, 1935. He was married September 17, 1901 to Miss Mary McWHIRTIR (sic - McWHIRTER) and they lived a happy wedded life. She died on Jan. 9, 1924. Alex in his usual gentle manner mourned his wife's death as long as life existed. Due to her demise his health began failing, but he, in a very heroic manner kept on working, keeping the home which the happy couple had established together. And for the past two years he was forced to break the home's ties and go to his brother Joe's home to be cared for. His last illness was very brief, suffering a stroke of paralysis, he hovered between life and death for six days and early Sunday morning passed away.

Alex DROZ spent his entire life on the farm raising stock and they always showed the ability that he had in caring for them.

While in good financial condition, yet he worked as long as health permitted and still was always interested in all affairs of the farm. He was an excellent neighbor and anyone that ever went to him for help was never disappointed in hi mand his works do follow him (sic).
