Death came this morning to Mrs. Guy "Simp" DONOVAN, 74, who had lived all her life in this community.
She passed away about 10:15 a.m. at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient for the past 19 days. She had been ill since Christmas.
The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.
Mrs. Lydia DONOVAN was born Feb. 9, 1899 (sic - 1889), in the Germanville community in Jefferson county, the daughter of William and Sarah ALLRED DUTTWEILER.
She was married to Guy S. DONOVAN on Nov. 22, 1911, at Fairfield. She has been a resident of Fairfield since 1908 and a long-time member of the Methodist church. She was employed at Mels cafe some years ago and in later year at Woody's.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John PRENTICE, Denver, Colo., one sister, Mrs. Rapier DUTTWEILER, Brighton; and one brother, Fred H. DUTTWEILER, Atchison, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister.

Services for Mrs. Guy DONOVAN, 74, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home.
Mrs. DONOVAN, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, died Tuesday at the Jefferson County hospital.
Last rites will be conducted by the Rev. J. Roland Crandall. Burial wil be in Evergreen cemetery.
