HAROLD F. DOBRAS FUNERAL RITES AT E. PLEASANT PLANE (sic)

Funeral services for Harold Frederick DOBRAS, who passed away Saturday following an operation on Wednesday, were held Monday morning from the St. Joseph's Catholic church in East Pleasant Plain. Rev. J. H. Courtney and Rev. Kaufman of West Burlington had charge of the services. Burial took place here.

Harold was the 13 years old son of Mr. and Mrs. V. A. DOBRAS, residing 11 miles northeast of this city. He also leaves a brother.

OBITUARY

Harold Frederick DOBRAS

Harold Frederick DOBRAS was born near Germanville May 9, 1915, and passed away Saturday morning October 5, 1928 at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex DOBRAS, after an illness of several months, following an attack of the flue (sic). He had undergone two surgical operations in the futile fight for recovery. He never was a strong and robust lad, and aften (sic) was a prey to illness. Nevertheless he was a bright and loving little fellow, and was much beloved by all whom came into contact with him.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church in East Pleasant Plain October 8 and were conducted by Rev. J. H. Courtney. Interment was at Evergreen cemetery. The pallbearers were: Harlan and Willard DIERS, Richard Peck, Harman Supallo, Alex Gevock and Ethiel Hoefer.

He is survived by the parents and one brother, Harlan. He was the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry DIERS of Fairfield. Among those from a distance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. J. DOBRAS and family of Mitchell, S. D. and Miss Kathrine DOBRAS of Chicago.

We wish to thank the many friends and relatives who were so kind and helpful to us in our recent afflection (sic) when we lost our son and brother, and those who sent the beautiful floral tributes. They helped us to bear our sorrow.
