Bert A. DILL, 504 N. Court street, died this afternoon at the Jefferson county hospital after a brief illness.
Te (sic) had been ill for only two days and was admitted to the hospital Sunday.
The body is at the Weston Behner fuenral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Last rites will be Saturday afternoon for Bert A. DILL, well known Fairfield resident who died suddenly Tuesday afternoon after a short illness.
The services will be at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Rev. E. A. Piper in charge. Burial wil be in Evergreen cemetery.
He passed away at the Jefferson county hospital where he entered as a patient Sunday. His death was caused by a heart ailment.
Bert A. DILL, 80, was born April 20, 1871, on a farm south of Fairfield, the son of the late John and Agnes LOUDEN DILL.
He spent practically his entire life in Jefferson and Van Buren counties with the exception of 16 years during which he lived at Mankato, Minnesota.
He was a salesman for the Hawkeye Cement company of Des Moines for 35 years. Upon his retirement 10 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. DILL returned to Fairfield. They established the Dill apartments at 504 N. Court street where they made their home.
Because of his long-time residence in this community he was known by many people and had a large number of friends.
He was married to Laura FLEMING who passed away in 1900. She was a sister of J. E. FLEMING of this city. He later married Ethel GLASGOW in 1911 who survives. DILL was a member of the English Lutheran church of Fairfield.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Cora DILL LOEHR; a niece, Agnes LOEHR, both of Saginaw, Michigan; and a nephew, John Dill LOEHR, Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs. LOEHR and children are all former residents of Fairfield. Three brothers preceded Mr. DILL in death.

Jefferson County, ss. )NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Executrix of the estate of B. A. DILL deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment; and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
