Wednesday Rites For Mrs. DIERS

Effie I. DIERS, 74, rural route Lockridge, died about 6 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at the Washington County Hospital. She had been in failing health for some time and serious the past six weeks.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert McElderry officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home this evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Effie I. DIERS was born Oct. 5, 1896 at Millersburg, the daughter of Perry and Hattie TINKLE MARSHALL. She was reared and educated near Millersburg. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Her marriage to Fred H. DIERS took place Feb. 18, 1929, at Washington.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. DIERS is survived by two sons, Eugene and Leland, both of Lockridge; two grandchildren; one brother, Glenn MARSHALL, Packwood.

She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and two sons in infancy.
