MRS. SARAH D'WOLFE (sic) DIED LAST NIGHT

Mrs. Sarah DeWOLFE passed away at six o'clock Monday evening at the home of her nephew Joseph CARBAUGH on West Stone street. Death was due to the infirmities of age.

Sarah MILLER DeWOLF was born May 21, 1827, at Cumberland Maryland. At the age of thirty-two she came to Jefferson county where she has has (sic) since made her home.

By a former marriage to Matthew J. DILLON M. J. DILLON of this city was born.

Mrs. DeWOLF leaves one son, M. J. DILLON, and a sister, Mrs. Richard CABRAUGH, both of this city, to mourn her death.

Funeral servces will be held at 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the CARBAUGH home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.229, with no gravestone. She was married four times; it isn't certain at the time of this posting whether Mathew J. DILLON was her first or second husband, however her son M. J. DILLON was born in 1855 in Pennsylvania. When she married Orrin N. DeWOLF on October 20, 1881, in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA, it was noted as her fourth marriage, with her previous surname being NEAR.
