Death of an Estimable Lady.

The news was received in this city Sunday of the death of Mrs. Belle De VECMON, wife of De Vauxcelle De VECMON, at Milan, Mo., on the 5th inst. Fairfield was formerly the home of the family and many friends here were deeply smitten by the sad intelligence. Mrs. De VECMON was ill but a few days, and leaves three children, one a boy of three years, and two twin babes, a boy and a girl, of tender age. Her maiden name was Belle COLLIER, and her home was at Keokuk, though she spent some time as a school teacher in this county. While Mr. De VECMON was a resident of Fairfield they were married in the east and made this place their home for some time. A year or two ago they removed to Milan, Mo., at which place they have since resided. The age of deceased was forty-three years, and she was a most estimable woman, of social worth and character, and universally esteemed. The remains were brought to this city Monday evening for interment, the funeral occurring from the residence of Daniel De VECMON yesterday afternoon.
