DEATHS

DE MARCE, Mrs. Mary--Died at her home in Texarkana, Tex., December 26 at the age of eighty-nine years.

Mrs. DeMARCE was born near Qebec (sic), Can., Sept. 1, 1831. With her parents she moved to Watertown, N. Y., united in marriage to Anthony DeMARCE. In 1865 they came to Fairfield where Mr. DeMARCE engaged in the foundry business, remaining here until 1889 when Mr. DeMARCE was prominent in the business affairs of the city. They went to Texarkana, Tex., from here and, in the following year, 1890, Mr. DeMARCE passed away (sic - he died in 1900).

Mrs. DeMARCE was highly esteemed in the Texas city where she died, as she was in this city where sre (sic) lived so long. She was an ardent christian woman, a member of the Methodist church, in which she was accepted in baptism at an early age and prized highly the bowl in which she was baptized.

The remains were brought to Fairfield for burial and were accompanied by Mrs. DeMARCE's sons, A. W., C. F., F. L. and E. S. DeMARCE.
